Mezzaandyort's travel blog entry: "4TH MAY 2010 - Today we board our bus from Chiang Mai to Sukhothai. We left at 12 noon and arrived at 5pm. The bus was full with people going home after long weekend here. We got a tuk tuk to Sukhothai Guesthouse (600 baht per night = $20 AUD). We gathered our clothes up for washing and walked down town to find a laundromat. We couldn't find one for sometime, back in Chiang Mai they are everywhere. We finally found one, dumped our clothes and pick up the next day. There is an old part and a new part of Sukhothai. We were located in the new part and there is nothing attractive about this part of town. We then went for dinner, sweet and sour tofu and pad thai - both yum. We walked around town for a while and then back to our guesthouse. 5TH MAY 2010 - We hired a tuk tuk for the day and he took us around the Old Sukhothai. It took about 1/2 hr from the New Sukhothai to the Old city. Our tuk tuk was rather cute, very old, this time you actually sit in front of the driver. It felt like we were sitting on a lawnmower. Our driver was very friendly and spoke good English. He asked us about kangaroos and if they are good to eat so Troy says yes and I say I don't eat it, he says thank you for that advice - he was very polite and friendly and always told us to take our time!
